Objective of the measure:
At this level of competence, general and job-related German language skills are taught and addressed at a very advanced level (university level). This targeted language support aims to enable prospective students with a migration background not only to gain admission to a German university (DSH; telc C1 university examination, etc.) but also to facilitate their actual studies.
Content of the measures:
Intensive preparation for the C1 university examination and the individual competence areas -> reading comprehension, language building blocks, listening comprehension, and oral expression.
Empowerment to write various types of texts: summaries, opinions, formal letters, expressions of opinion, descriptions and interpretations of graphics and statistics, interpretations of literary works, scientific texts, etc.
Thematic areas include history and politics, as well as successes and failures. Technical progress, environmental protection, and resource management are also part of the vocabulary taught.
At the end of the measure, participants will be prepared for the German job market. Targeted application training will provide them with language skills for creating application documents. Application interviews will also be simulated and analyzed. The result of this application training is a self-written application, which will be provided in digital form (approximately 30 units).
Once the application documents are complete, the application training will transition to the practical phase. Participants will actively apply for positions they find in the job exchange of the Federal Employment Agency (approximately 10 units).
Target group:
The target group includes people with a migration background who plan to study in Germany or are already enrolled at a university.
Duration of the measure:
90 units (45 min).
