Objective of the measure:

At this level of competence, general and job-related German language skills are taught and addressed at an advanced level (intermediate level). This targeted language support aims to facilitate migrants' entry into the workforce.

Contents of the measures:

At the B1 competence level, participants learn to understand the main points of many workplace-oriented situations when clear standard language is used. They learn to express themselves on familiar topics and report on experiences and describe goals.

At the B2 competence level, participants learn to understand the main contents of complex texts on workplace-oriented topics and to participate in discussions in their own areas of interest, explaining their viewpoints and indicating the advantages and disadvantages of various options.

At the end of the measure, participants are prepared for the German job market. They receive targeted training in the language skills needed to create application documents. Job interviews are also simulated and analyzed. The result of this application training is a self-written application, which is provided in digital form. Once the application documents are complete, the application training moves into the practical phase. Participants actively apply for positions that they find in the job portal of the Federal Employment Agency.

Target group:

The target group includes people with a migration background who plan to study, undergo training, or secure permanent employment in Germany, as well as applicants for professions that require good German language skills.

Duration of the measure:

160 units (45 minutes).
